This voltage-sensitive relay automatically manages charging between a vehicle’s starter battery and auxiliary battery. It connects both battery banks when charging voltage rises and isolates them when voltage falls, helping to prevent auxiliary loads from discharging the starter battery.
How It Works • When the starter battery reaches approximately 13.3V, the VSR engages and allows the auxiliary battery to charge. • When voltage falls to approximately 12.8V, the VSR disengages and separates the two batteries. • Automatic isolation helps preserve starting power and protects auxiliary equipment from engine-start voltage fluctuations.
